The Experience
Located in the Cholila Valley, El Pedregoso provides seamless access to the high Andes. For decades, this estate operated exclusively as a premier fly-fishing destination. Recently, through a new collaboration, it has opened its doors as a dedicated winter heli-skiing base.
A major practical advantage of the property is its private airstrip, allowing you to land your aircraft and step directly into the lodge within minutes. Out on the snow, you are led by the UIAGM/IFMGA-certified guides of IBEX-heli, giving you safe access to thousands of hectares of unmapped terrain and glaciated bowls.
After a day exploring the deep Patagonian powder, you return to the cosy lodge. Powered entirely by solar energy, this spacious and comfortable lodge invites you to unwind by the fireplace with a drink from the open bar, followed by chef-prepared meals that highlight authentic regional flavors.

A Typical Day
Morning
Your day begins with a hearty breakfast at the lodge and a safety briefing with the IBEX-heli guides. Because the helicopter is stationed directly on the property, there are no long morning transfers — you step outside, load your gear, and within minutes you are flying into the high Andes.
Midday
The Patagonian backcountry offers thousands of hectares of unmapped terrain and glaciated bowls. Guided by the highly certified UIAGM/IFMGA IBEX-heli team, you ski lines carefully selected for your group's ability and the day's conditions.
Evening
After the final run, the helicopter drops you back at the estate. Grab a drink from the open bar and unwind by the large fireplace. Dinner features chef-prepared meals including traditional Cordero al Asador, using fresh ingredients from the estate's own organic gardens.
Location
El Pedregoso stands in the Cholila Valley in Chubut, a few steps from Cholila Lake and a considerable distance from anywhere else. The estate has its own airstrip, so you can land your aircraft and be inside the lodge within minutes rather than driving for hours.
